House training a puppy

Whenever a person gets new puppy the biggest concern for him is how to housetrain that puppy. One can follow either of the two approaches to house train a new puppy: training your puppy to wait and urinate when he is taken outside or training it to use a fixed place inside the house. However the aim of following either of the way is to train it to use a fixed place to urinate and not anywhere littering several parts of the house. It is always better to take them outside but it might not be possible if you live in an apartment or you are unable to spare much time for your pet.

You should take the puppy outside everyday when you get up in the morning and then recommended should be 3 hours between each outing everyday otherwise possibility of occurring an accident increases. After continuously following this routine for some days the puppy would start reminding you that its time to go out. One should understand that a puppy takes some time to learn all this and accidents may also occur but they shouldn't be punished fort this as it can have a negative impact on them. Train the puppy to use the dog door if you have one to go outside.

This requires less labor on your part and learning process also fastens. Incase its difficult for you to take him outside everyday you can use indoor dirt trays as an alternative. Always take the puppy to the dirt tray everyday in the morning and after it finishes its food so that it becomes familiar to the place for future.

Once puppies learn the location of the dirt tray your job is reduced. Remember that puppies cannot learn everything immediately; they need time so be patient and never scold them if they commit any mistake.
