Ointments or antiperspirants
This treatment is for patients moderately affected with hyperhidrosis and for such a treatment Drysol is suggested. This treatment involves drying the skin and applying this product on the affected area. This process should be repeated every night until the sweating is under control. After sweating is under control repeat this process 1 or 2 times a week and use a deodorant.
Oral anticholinergic medication
Certain oral anticholinergic medications can also prevent sweating caused by Acetylcholine, the main cause of excessive sweating. There are some negative side effects associated with this treatment, mainly dry mouth, urinary retention, blurred vision and palpitations. |
