Athlete's Foot Remedy
Athlete's food also termed as tinea pedis is mainly a fungal infection caused by parasitic fungi. Such an infection can be found between the toes and looks like crackled reddish skin that flourishes in moist and warm places. Athletes' foot is a transmittable infection that can be spread by contact with people with infected skin. You may or may not use powders or creams that claim to cure athlete's foot or try some of the remedies listed below:
- One of the traditional athlete's foot remedy is applying crocodile oil or tea tree oil to the affected area resulting in quick healing of lesions and relief form itching.
- Urine therapy is another remedy for athlete's foot where urine or urea an active element in urine is very effective in killing athlete's foot. According to research, this therapy not only kills the prevailing fungi but also prevents the future growth of fungi.
- Baking soda can also be used as athlete's foot remedy where feet are soaked in mixture of baking soda and water for around 30 minutes causing a change in PH of skin. Also, sprinkling baking soda on feet and in socks & shoes will help in soaking perspiration and counteract the skin at the same time.
- Another athlete's foot remedy is to rub garlic clove on the affected area for around half an hour and then washing the feet with water. Repeat this process for a week and finally your athlete's foot will disappear. This is because; garlic acts as an antibiotic that kills the fungus causing athlete's foot.
- Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) is another most effective remedy for curing athlete's foot that should be taken twice a day.
- An effective athlete's foot remedy is to use chaparral. Add 6 teaspoons of chaparral to 1 quarter of wine or whiskey and soak your feet in that. This way your athlete's foot will cure in a natural way.
