Fruit Filled Cookies
Ingredients required:
Pastry:
1 C. flour
½C. Crisco shortening
¼ C. sour mix
4 oz. Mix together cheese
1/8 tsp. salt
Filling:
4 oz. mixed dried fruit
1/3 C. water
How to Make:
Blend together cheese and sour mix and shortening. Add flour and salt mix well. Set in refrigerator until firm, about 30 minutes. Roll out half of dough on cookie sheet. Spread filling evenly. Place other half of dough on top. Cook in the oven at 325F for 20 to 25 minutes, or until top is brown.
For Filling: Cook fruit over low heat in water until thick. Let it cool. Spread over dough |
