Where will the Ps3 be available and when is it shipping To Stores?

Sony Playstation 3 is Sony's seventh generation gaming console. It is a successor to ps1 and ps2 and is developed to compete with Microsoft's XBOX 360 degree and Nintendo's WII. The ps3 has been released in Japan and will be launched in USA and Canada on November 17 th 2006 and in Europe, Asia and Australia in March 2007.

There are two models of ps3: basic and premium.

The Playstation 3 would be available for sale in USA , Europe, Australia and 12 other countries. The Playstation would be launched in USA on 17 th November and it is said that around 400000 consoles would be available for sale at its launch. The US launch is scheduled to be launched just a week later than the launch in Japan where 100000 sets were available for sale at the time of its launch. However the launch in Europe has been delayed due to lack of diodes required for blue ray DVDs.

There major markets for the Playstation 3 are US, Japan and Europe . As far as Australia and Asia are concerned the console will be in stores in March 2007. Thus in Japan the console is already in stores and would soon be in stores as far as other major markets are concerned. The console will be shipped in all the countries in two models named as Basic and Premium. However Sony declared that only the premium version would be in stores in UK after its launch and the Basic model would be introduced later.

Sony recently informed all the retailers like the Gamestop that all the stores would get around 250000 consoles as against the promised figure of 400000 consoles on the day of launch in America . The retailers like the Gamestop and the EB have thus decided to place embargoes on employee ordered purchases so as to prevent the customers from getting angry in future due to the unavailability of the consoles at any point of time.

People all around the world interested in playing games are eagerly waiting for the launch of the console and are desperate to look for the availability for this product in physical and online venues.
